Green Tomato Relish - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 qt. cut green tomatoes
1/2 c. salt
1 qt. carrots, sliced
8 c. sugar
1 c. lime (canning lime)
3 qt. cut onions
1/2 gal. vinegar
Preparation

Cut tomatoes; cover with lime and water.
Let stand for 24 hours.
Rinse lime off real well.
Put salt over tomatoes and cover with cold water.
Let stand while you cut up other ingredients.
