Braised Cucumbers - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 large cucumbers
2 c. celery, diced
1 onion, sliced
salt and pepper
2 Tbsp. margarine
3/4 c. water
Preparation

Peel cucumbers, remove seeds and dice.
Have the celery diced in about the same size pieces.
Melt margarine in a skillet.
Add onion, cucumbers, celery and a sprinkling of salt and pepper.
A teaspoon of dried dill weed adds immeasurably to the flavor of this dish.
Cook gently, turning so that the vegetables become golden on all sides.
Add water; cover tightly and simmer until tender, not more than about 10 minutes.
