Cheddar Cheese Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 c. water
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 c. cooked cauliflower
    1/2 c. finely chopped carrots
    1 c. finely chopped bacon or ham
    1 lb. sharp shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. chopped onions
    1 c. sliced mushrooms
    2 c. half and half or undiluted evaporated milk
Preparation
    Mix cornstarch with cheese.
    In a 4 to 6-quart pot, bring water to a boil.
    Add cheese mixture a little at a time, stirring constantly.
    Continue to cook over medium heat, stirring until cheese melts and mixture becomes smooth.
    Remove from heat and add salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and garlic.
