Mama'S Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    cornmeal
    buttermilk
    baking soda
    salt
    water
Preparation
    Sift cornmeal, add buttermilk, a pinch of soda and a pinch of salt.
    Add enough water to make thick enough to be shaped into pones.
    Cover top of each pone with bacon grease.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 until brown.
    (These are easy to make, as I learned to make them when I was 10 years old.)
