Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 medium potatoes
    onion to taste, chopped
    1/2 lb. grated cheese (American or Velveeta)
    1 to 2 c. milk
    ham, chopped (use amount desired)
    1/2 stick oleo
    flour or cornstarch
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Melt the
    oleo\tand
    add
    about
    1
    tablespoon flour or cornstarch to
    make
    a
    paste.
    Add milk and heat.\tAdd cheese and stir
    until
    melted.
    Add
    salt and pepper to taste.
    Peel potatoes and slice.
    Layer potatoes, onion and ham.
    Pour milk mixture over this.\tYou
    may have to add a little more milk to cover.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 1 hour, uncovered.
    Use a deep pan to keep it from boiling over.
