Caramel Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. molasses (Old Barrel)
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. butter
    2 c. cream
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Boil together sugar, molasses and salt to 245\u00b0.
    Add butter and cream; boil to 242\u00b0.
    Remove from heat.
    Add vanilla.
    Be careful to stir often while cooking, especially near the end.
    Pour into a well buttered 5 x 10-inch pan.
    Cool until cold.
    Cut in small squares and wrap in wax paper.
