Cleo'S Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. lard
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    3 1/2 to 4 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Beat lard and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add vanilla and salt.
    Add alternately flour and beaten eggs.
    Dough should be firm but not sticky.
    Refrigerate 1 hour.
    Roll out 1/4 inch thick and cook on greased cookie sheets at 375\u00b0 until brown on edges or make into rolls and refrigerate overnight.
    Slice 1/4 inch thick and bake as usual.
    Let cool in pan for 3 minutes before removing.
