Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. white corn syrup
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
2 c. raw Spanish peanuts
1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation

Place syrup, sugar and water in an iron skillet and cook to the soft ball stage at 230\u00b0.
Add peanuts, stir and cook to the crack stage, 301\u00b0 to 302\u00b0.
Turn off the heat.
Stir in until blended the butter, vanilla and baking soda.
Pour onto greased surface, preferably marble.
Turn it at once and stretch it quickly until very thin.
When cold, break into pieces.
