Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 cloves garlic, chopped
    1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped (optional)
    1 (14 oz.) can tomatoes
    2 tsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. cumin (ground comino seed)
    1 tsp. oregano
    1 tsp. paprika
    1/4 tsp. sage
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. water or beer
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. powdered milk
    1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans
Preparation
    Brown meat lightly.
    Add onion, garlic and spices and finish browning.
    Add tomatoes, water or beer and powdered milk and cook a minimum of 3 hours over low heat, stirring frequently.
    Add beans 1 hour before serving.
