German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

1/4 lb. bacon
1 c. celery, diced
1 c. onion, diced
1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. flour
1 c. cider vinegar
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. dry mustard
5 lb. potatoes
2 c. carrots, shredded
2 Tbsp. parsley (fresh chopped or 1 Tbsp. dry)
celery seed (optional)
Preparation

Cut recipe in half to make 7 to 8-inch square dish full.
