Pepper Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. red pepper, ground or chopped
    2 c. green pepper, ground or chopped
    2 c. onion, ground or chopped
    2 c. vinegar
    2 1/2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. salt
    3 c. sugar
Preparation
    Cover ground peppers with boiling water and simmer for 10 minutes.
    Drain.
    In a saucepan, combine ground onions, vinegar, water, salt and sugar.
    Heat until spices dissolve.
    In a heavy pot,
    pour over peppers and heat until boiling.
    Continue to boil for 15 minutes.
    Put into hot canning jars and seal.
    Makes about 7 pints.
