Hot Chocolate - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. heavy cream
    1/4 c. granulated sugar
    2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, broken into pieces
    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 oz. semi-sweet chocolate, broken into pieces
    3 c. whole milk
    marshmallows (optional)
    whipped cream (optional)
    cinnamon (optional)
Preparation
    In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream to scalding until tiny bubbles form around the edge of pan. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate pieces until they melt and mixture is smooth. Add the sugar and vanilla; stir until smooth. Pour in the milk. Return the saucepan to the stove and heat on medium until the mixture is hot and steaming. Do not bring to a boil. Top with marshmallows or whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon, if desired.
