Crispy Cole Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head cabbage
    1 medium onion
    6 oz. sugar
    1/2 c. vinegar
    2/3 c. salad oil
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1 tsp. celery seed (optional)
Preparation
    Shred cabbage and onion as thinly as possible.
    Sprinkle on sugar.
    Mix together and bring to a boil the vinegar, salad oil, sugar, salt, mustard and celery seed. Pour hot mixture over vegetables.
    Do not stir.
    Let stand at room temperature 4 to 6 hours.
    Stir and refrigerate.
    Stays crisp for days.
