Mexican Spoon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. cream-style corn
    1 c. corn meal
    1/3 c. melted shortening
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 (4 oz.) can green chilies, chopped
    1/2 c. grated cheese
Preparation
    Combine first 6 ingredients well. Sprinkle chilies and half of cheese into mix. Pour into greased baking dish and sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 45 minutes. Cool 10 minutes and cut into squares.
