Russian Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1/3 c. sifted powdered sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/4 c. sifted flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 to 3/4 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
Preparation
    Work butter until creamy.
    Add sugar and vanilla.
    Beat well. Add flour and salt; mix to a smooth dough.
    Stir in nuts.
    Chill for several hours or overnight.
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Break off bits of dough and shape into 1-inch balls.
    Bake 18 to 20 minutes.
    While warm, roll in confectioners sugar.
    When cooled, roll again in sugar.
    Makes about 3 dozen.
