Oyster Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 Tbsp. butter
1 c. diced celery
3 Tbsp. flour
1 qt. whole milk
1 pt. oysters
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. black pepper
1 small onion, grated
Preparation

Over medium heat, melt butter and cook celery until tender. Shake in flour, stirring constantly.
Pour in a little milk; stir until smooth, then slowly add remainder of milk.
Add dry seasonings; cook until boiling point is reached.
Add oysters, oyster liquid and onion.
Serve as soon as oysters are thoroughly hot and plump
