Pesto - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. olive oil
1/2 tsp. pepper
2/3 cloves chopped garlic
2 c. fresh basil leaves
1/2 c. grated cheese
1/4 c. toasted pine nuts
Preparation

Combine oil, pepper and garlic in blender.
Add some basil and blend.
Add the rest gradually until thin.
If too thick, add more oil.
Pour into bowl and add cheese and pine nuts.
Mix well.
Put in small containers and drizzle oil onto the back of a spoon to form a protective layer on top of pesto.
Store in refrigerator or freezer.
Do not heat pesto.
(One cup of pesto for 1 pound pasta.)
