Roquekraut - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 head red cabbage, shredded
2 Tbsp. bacon fat
1 small onion, chopped
2 small apples, peeled and chopped
1/2 c. cider vinegar
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cook onion in fat until soft.
Add cabbage and steam on medium with needed water for 15 minutes.
Add apples, vinegar, sugar and salt.
Turn heat to low and cook about 30 to 45 minutes.
