Cowboy Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 c. onion, chopped
    1 c. potatoes, diced
    1 c. cabbage, shredded
    1 c. carrots, sliced
    1/2 c. rice
    1 c. celery, sliced
    2 (1 lb. each) cans tomatoes
    4 c. water
    1/2 tsp. basil
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    1 bay leaf
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Brown meat and onion, stirring with a fork to break up meat. Add remaining ingredients.
    Mix well.
    Bring to a boil.
    Cover. Reduce heat and cook until tender.
    You will need a large pot to cook in.
