Shrimp Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. frozen shelled, deveined shrimp
    4 water chestnuts, finely minced
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    6 slices bread (at least 2 days old)
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 c. oil
Preparation
    Thaw shrimp; chop very fine.
    Mix with water chestnuts.
    Add salt, sugar, cornstarch and egg; mix.
