Cupcakes - cooking recipe

1 3/4 c. sifted cake flour
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
3/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
Cream shortening; add sugar gradually and cream until light.
Add egg and beat well.
Add flour alternately with milk, beating well after each addition.
Add vanilla.
Pour batter into greased cupcake pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes. Frost and decorate.
