Elegant Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 eggs, separated
    2 2/3 c. sugar
    1 lb. butter (no substitute)
    3 1/2 c. cake flour, sifted
    1/2 c. coffee cream
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until soft peaks form, gradually adding 6 tablespoons of the sugar, then beating until stiff.
    Put in refrigerator.
    In your largest mixer bowl, cream the butter, adding the remaining sugar.
    Beat egg yolks well; add.
    Sift flour 3 times; measure.
    Add flour and cream alternately to your sugar mixture, beating until very light (at least 8 to 10 minutes in mixer).
    Add vanilla.
    Fold egg whites in by hand, using an over-and-under method.
