"Under The Sea" Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) can pears
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. lime Jell-O
    1 tsp. vinegar
    1 c. boiling water
    1/4 c. cold water
    1 Tbsp. lemon or lime juice
    1/2 c. pear syrup
    2 pkg. (3 oz.) cream cheese
    1/8 tsp. ground ginger
Preparation
    Drain pears, reserving 1/2 cup syrup.
    Dice pears and set aside.
    Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water.
    Add cold water and pear juice, vinegar and lemon juice.
    Measure 1 1/4 cups into an 8 x 4-inch loaf pan.
    Chill until set, but not firm (will be sticky to the touch).
    Meanwhile, soften cheese.
    Beat in remaining Jell-O. Blend in ginger.
    Fold in pears.
    Spoon over set Jell-O in pan. Chill overnight or until firm.
    Unmold on crisp lettuce.
    Makes 6 servings.
