Oven Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 6 carrots, cut in 1 1/2-inch lengths
    3 celery stems, cut in 1 1/2-inch lengths
    2 to 4 potatoes (large chunks)
    1 (No. 2) can tomatoes
    1 slice bread, crumbled
    3 Tbsp. tapioca
    1 tsp. salt
    pepper to taste
    2 onions, cut small
    small can mushrooms
    1 1/2 to 2 lb. stew meat
    1 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients well and put in roasting pan with a tight lid.
    Bake at 225\u00b0 to 250\u00b0 for 5 hours.
    Serve as is or in bread bowls.
