Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. powdered sugar (don't sift)
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1 egg
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. flour (no need to sift)
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Cream
    butter and sugar.
    Add egg and vanilla.
    Mix dry ingredients
    together
    and
    blend
    into
    creamed
    mixture. Refrigerate 2 or 3 hours, after making into 2 rolls.
    Cut thin slices;
    flatten with glass.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 375\u00b0.
