Meringue-Nut Pie - cooking recipe

3/4 c. chopped walnuts
1 1/4 c. crushed saltine crackers
2 tsp. baking powder
4 egg whites
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
cooking spray
2 1/4 c. fat-free milk, divided
1 (1.4 oz.) pkg. chocolate sugar-free instant pudding mix
1 (1.3 oz.) envelope whipped topping mix
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 Tbsp. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Combine first 3 ingredients; stir well. Beat egg whites and cream of tartar at high speed of an electric mixer until foamy. Add sugar; beat until stiff peaks form and sugar dissolves.
Add vanilla; fold in cracker mixture. Spread in a 9-inch pie plate. Bake at 250\u00b0 for 40 minutes; cool.
