Eight Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small head lettuce, cut in small pieces
    3/4 c. chopped green pepper
    3/4 c. green onions, cut up
    1 can LeSueur peas, drained
    3/4 c. chopped celery
    1 c. mayonnaise, room temperature
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    4 to 6 oz. grated Cheddar cheese
    8 strips bacon, fried
Preparation
    Layer lettuce in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Then add pepper, onions, celery and peas.
    Spread mayonnaise carefully.
    Top with sugar, cheese and bacon.
    May also use bacon bits.
