Never Fail Caramel Icing - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 sticks oleo
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. sugar
Preparation

Bring oleo, sugar, milk and egg to boil while melting 1/2 cup sugar in an iron skillet.
Add melted sugar to other mixture and cook until soft ball stage (stir while cooking).
Cool and add vanilla.
Then spread on cake.
Use medium heat.
