Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 cans minced clams
    2 c. diced potatoes
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 c. chopped onions
    3/4 c. butter
    3/4 c. flour
    1 qt. half and half
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    pepper to taste
Preparation
    Place onions, potatoes and celery in large pot.
    Drain clams and pour clam juice over vegetables.
    Add enough water to just barely cover vegetables.
    Simmer 30 minutes.
