Chicken-Fried Round Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 to 2 lb. round steak (1/2 inch thick)
    2 beaten eggs
    2 Tbsp. milk
    1 c. fine low-sodium bread crumbs or flour
    1/4 c. unsalted fat
    pepper
Preparation
    Pound steak thoroughly. Dip into egg mixed with milk, then into crumbs or flour. Brown on both sides in hot fat.
    Season. Cover and cook over very low heat 45 minutes to 60 minutes. Serves 6.
