Italian Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. rice
    3 Tbsp. olive oil
    5 Tbsp. butter
    1 clove garlic, peeled and minced
    1/2 c. dry white wine
    3 1/2 c. hot chicken broth
    1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    In saucepan, heat oil with 3 tablespoons butter.
    Add onion and saute over low heat until soft, but not brown, about 5 minutes.
    Add garlic and cook about 30 seconds.
    Stir in rice and cook, stirring frequently, until rice begins to turn yellow.
    Do not allow rice to brown.
    Add wine and simmer until wine has evaporated.
    Stir in 1 1/2 cups broth.
    Cover and cook over low heat until liquid is absorbed, about 10 minutes.
    Add remaining broth.
    Stir gently with fork.
    Cover again and cook 15 minutes or until rice is tender.
    Then stir in Parmesan and remaining butter.
