Chocolate Fudge(Foolproof) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
    dash of salt
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation
    In a heavy saucepan over low heat, melt chips with sweetened condensed milk.
    Remove from heat; stir in remaining ingredients. Stir until chips are melted.
    Spread evenly into greased 8-inch square pan.
    Chill 2 to 3 hours or until firm.
    Cut into squares and store, loosely covered, at room temperature.
