Salmon Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    15 oz. can salmon, drained (reserve 2 Tbsp.)
    1 egg
    1/3 c. chopped onion
    flavored bread crumbs
    1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation
    Combine salmon, egg and onion.
    Stir in flour.
    Stir baking powder into salmon liquid; add to salmon and onion mixture.
    Form mixture into 6 patties.
    Heat shortening in skillet and fry patties on each side until golden brown.
