Benoit'S Bannock(Good Stuff, Especially With A Pot Of Tea.) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 to 4 Tbsp. shortening
    1 1/2 to 2 c. cold water
Preparation
    Mix flour, baking powder and salt.
    Cut in shortening and add enough water to make a soft dough.
    Knead briefly and pat into a large greased frying pan, preferably cast-iron.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 about 30 minutes or until golden.
    Break off chunks, butter liberally, and eat with honey, syrup or jam.
