Homestyle Meat Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. prepared mustard
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/4 c. cracker crumbs
    2 lb. lean ground beef
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Combine tomato sauce, brown sugar, vinegar and mustard in a small bowl.
    Set aside.
    Combine egg, onion, crumbs, ground beef, salt and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
    Add 1/2 cup of the tomato mixture and blend thoroughly.
    Shape into oval loaf and place in an oblong baking dish.
    Make a depression in the top of loaf. Pour remaining tomato sauce over meat.
    Bake uncovered for 1 1/2 to 2 hours at 250\u00b0 or until center is done.
    Cover meat and let stand 10 minutes before serving.
