Mom'S Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1 c. molasses
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. soda
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. cinnamon and 1 tsp. ginger (can be added)
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add 2 eggs and molasses. Alternate milk and next 4 ingredients.
    Add more flour (enough to make dough firm enough to roll and cut).
    Bake at 350\u00b0.
    Watch closely as they burn easy.
    Makes a large batch and works well for gingerbread boy cookies.
