German Potato Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. bacon
1/3 c. bacon drippings
1/3 c. vinegar plus enough water to make 1/2 cup
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
5 c. cooked, diced potatoes
1/2 c. chopped onion
Preparation

Cook bacon until crisp; crumble.
Combine bacon drippings with next 5 ingredients and stir over medium heat until thickened.
Add potatoes, onion and bacon; toss.
Serve warm or cold.
Keeps for a week refrigerated and gets better with time.
Serves 6 easily.
