Mincemeat Pecan Buns - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    5 Tbsp. baking powder
    2/3 c. milk
    1 tsp. salt
    4 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation
    Mix and sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.
    Work in shortening with pastry cutter.
    Add milk; mix thoroughly and pat out on floured board to 1/4-inch thickness.
    Brush with melted butter and spread with mincemeat.
    Roll as a jelly roll.
    Cut in 1-inch slices and place on a baking sheet which has been heavily coated with butter.
    Sprinkle with brown sugar and pecan halves. Bake at 450\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Remove from pan and serve, pecan side up.
