Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
    1 qt. berries
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. sugar
Preparation
    Wash and hull berries.
    In a saucepan, mix one-half of the berries, cut up, with the sugar and cornstarch.
    Cook until really thick.
    Cool slightly.
    Place remaining berries, whole or cut up, in the bottom of the baked pie shell.
    Spread with cooked berries. Cool in the refrigerator.
    Top with whipped cream or Cool Whip before serving.
