Glorified Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
4 Tbsp. baking molasses
1 egg
1 c. sour milk
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
pinch of salt
1 tsp. soda, dissolved in 2 Tbsp. hot water
Preparation

Crumb together flour, sugar and shortening; set aside 1/2 cup of the crumbs.
Add to the rest of the crumbs the baking molasses, egg, sour milk, ginger, cinnamon and salt.
Lastly, add soda dissolved in hot water.
Pour in baking pan.
Sprinkle the 1/2 cup reserved crumbs on top and bake at 350\u00b0 until done.
