Easy Kutya(Ukrainian Christmas Dish) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. bran-free wheat
    water (to cover wheat)
    1/2 can Solo poppy seed filling
    2 Tbsp. honey
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 apple, peeled, cored and chopped
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Rinse wheat in sieve; drain.
    Put in 2-quart pot and cover with water about 2-inches above wheat.
    Cook on medium heat until boiling; reduce heat and semi-cover.
    Let cook for about 2 hours. Do not drain water.
    After cooking, take off heat and let stand. (Check to see if water evaporated during cooking time; if so, add some hot water to the wheat during cooking time to prevent wheat from clumping.)
    Let cool.
