Cream Raisin Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. raisins
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 rounded Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. milk
    2 egg yolks
    1 tsp. vanilla
    baked pie crust
Preparation
    In saucepan, cover raisins with water; cook slowly until plumped and water is almost gone.
    Make mixture of sugar, salt, cornstarch and 1/4 cup milk.
    Add slightly beaten egg yolks.
    Add small amount of cornstarch mixture to raisins; stir.
    Alternately add remaining mixture and 3/4 cup milk; cook until thick.
    Add vanilla.
    Pour into a baked pie crust.
    Top with favorite meringue and bake at 350\u00b0 until a golden brown.
