Sawdust Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

7 egg whites (unbeaten)
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 1/2 c. graham cracker crumbs
1 1/2 c. finely chopped pecans
1 1/2 c. flaked coconut
1 (9-inch) deep-dish unbaked pie shell
Preparation

Preheat oven to 325\u00b0. In a large deep-dish bowl, mix egg whites, sugar, crumbs, pecans and coconut and stir by hand. Pour into pie shell and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until glossy and set. Do not overbake. (It is firm near the edges but moist and chewy in the center.) Serve warm with sliced bananas and whipped cream.
