Summertime Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. cooked, diced chicken breasts
    1 1/2 c. finely diced celery
    1 (15 oz.) can pineapple chunks, drained and cubed
    1 c. mayonnaise
    1 c. chopped apples
    1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts, drained and chopped
    1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients in a large bowl, mixing well.
    Chill for 2 hours before serving.
    Serve on a bed of lettuce and garnish with crushed walnuts or pecans.
    Serves 8 to 10 people.
