Sure Shot Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 c. hot water
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 cake or pkg. of yeast
    2 Tbsp. warm water
    1 egg, well beaten
    3 to 3 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Mix shortening, hot water, sugar and salt.
    Cool.
    Dissolve yeast in warm water, add beaten egg, yeast and flour (enough to make soft dough).
    Let rise 2 1/2 hours.
    Roll to 1/4-inch thickness and spread with melted butter.
    Cut with small cutter and fold in half and pinch together.
    Place pinched edges up on greased pan and let rise for 1 hour.
    Bake in moderate oven for 20 minutes at 350\u00b0.
