Colorado Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
    3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    4 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. milk
    1 egg
Preparation
    Sift the first 5 ingredients together into a bowl.
    Cut shortening into flour mixture.
    Stir milk and egg into flour-shortening mixture.
    Roll and cut.
    Don't roll too thin. Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes.
    Makes approximately 2 dozen biscuits.
