Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. ground beef or ground turkey
    8 medium onions, chopped (4 c.)
    4 (1 lb. 12 oz.) cans tomatoes
    4 (15 1/2 oz.) cans kidney beans, drained (reserve liquid)
    1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    3 Tbsp. chili powder
    cumin to taste
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cook and stir ground beef and onions in Dutch oven or large roasting pan until meat is brown and onions are tender.
    Drain off fat.
    Stir in tomatoes, reserved liquid, tomato sauce and seasoning.
    Heat to boiling.
    Reduce heat; simmer uncovered 1 hour and 15 minutes.
    Stir in beans.
    Simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 15 minutes, or until desired consistency.
    Makes 24 servings (1 1/3 cups each).
