Asparagus Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 Tbsp. butter
3 Tbsp. flour
1 can chicken stock
1 can asparagus
1 jar pimentos
1 can sliced water chestnuts
1 can mushrooms
dash of red pepper
salt and pepper to taste
basil, thyme and marjoram to taste
instant mashed potatoes
Preparation

Melt butter; add flour.
Stir into a paste.
Add chicken stock and liquid from the canned items.
Add salt, pepper and herbs.
If mixture is too thick, add water.
If too thin, add instant mashed potatoes.
Just before serving, add the asparagus, pimentos, water chestnuts and mushrooms.
This recipe can be stretched with instant potatoes and water.
