Harriett'S Southern Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 to 3 Tbsp. Crisco
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 Tbsp. Crisco in frying pan
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients together.
    Blend in Crisco with fork until coarse and grainy, then stir in buttermilk.
    Knead a few times. Roll out to 1/2-inch thick.
    Cut into biscuits.
    Heat remaining Crisco in a cast-iron skillet in the oven at 400\u00b0.
    Place biscuits in skillet.
    Cook in oven until light brown.
