Chocolate-Coconut Pinwheels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1/3 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. shortening
    1/3 c butter or margarine
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 Tbsp. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. flaked coconut
    1/4 c. finely chopped walnuts or pecans
Preparation
    Stir together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt. In a large mixer bowl beat shortening and butter until butter is softened.
    Add 3/4 cup sugar and beat until fluffy.
    Add egg, milk and 1 teaspoon vanilla and beat well.
    Add flour mixture and beat until well mixed.
    Divide dough in half.
    Cover and chill for 2 to 3 hours or until easy to handle.
